My Valedictory Speech

”You will find the key to success under the alarm clock”. And it really helped me to make it on time today.

Honourable Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Respected Professors, Parents, Administration Staff, Graduating Batch and my Dear Juniors, a very good morning to all of you.

Today is a turning point in each of our lives. We have spent the past years wandering the halls of this great school and now we are ready to go on. We the graduating batch would like to express our deepest gratitude to all who made these two years of our life the most memorable ones.

Firstly we are thankful to our professors,

Prof Sadagopan, For imparting us with the significance of smiling and facing the difficulties of life. Sadagopan Sir and Chandra Mam for celebrating every festival with us and making us feel at home. You are truly inspirational and adorable sir. Our Professors:

Prof Prasanna for his amusing lectures and “I am in please stop by” mails.

Prof Das for telling us the significance of networking not only in computers but also in real life.

I am also thankful to my fellow graduating students. Ours is the smallest batch till time in IIITB. We are a student run institute, powered by teachers, moved by management and driven by our director. We have various student committees. The Social activity committee Akiyam, The SAC committee, The food committee and the placement team. We started gym facility in men’s and women’s hostel.

I would also like to thank our administrative staff, Abraham Sir, Ramachnadra Sir, Veda Mam, Chandrika mam, Somshekhar Sir, Deepthi Mam, Padma mam and Rama Mam for all their support in organizing the events.

Canteen staff, Security staff for all the facilities.

We are thankful to our seniors they were really helpful, easily approachable and dependable, my enthusiastic and talented juniors for all their support and a great show yesterday in the farewell party.

We are also thankful for our families. These past two years have presented us with a lot of ups and downs and it is good to know that we had our families in our corner, supporting us along the way. Thanks to all Moms and Dads. We would not be here today without you.

Life is a series of passageways, and we are leaving one and moving on to the next. We're leaving the faculty with lots of interesting memories.

Working on projects the whole night, those expected surprise B’Day Parties @ 12 in the night. The tensed faces in front of registrar’s office before collecting the grade sheets. Preparing Tea and maggii @ 2 or 3 am during exams. Those intellectual arguments on technical topics and then googling the whole night to prove ourselves correct. Those long gossiping sessions with friends and many more.

We have learned, laughed, loved, gotten into trouble, and most of all matured together. But today doesn't just concern reminiscing about the past; it's also about looking forward into our future.

We will meet new people, make new friends, and learn new things. We will grow older, more responsible, and independent. As I look over the many faces I behold today, perceptions of individuals are washed away. I no longer see people as they were; I see them as they will be. All of these graduates will contribute to the fabric of the future in some way.

So when looking at the bright horizon that is my future, I am happy. For although my life will contain sadness and heartbreak, it will also hold joy, love, and success. And I know my classmates' will too. So don't look back, and regret, my friends, look forward, and smile.

"There is a good reason they call these ceremonies commencement exercises. Graduation is not the end; it's the beginning."
